Grupo Mexico takes majority stake
The transaction combines Saavi Energia’s facilities with Grupo Mexico’s power-generation assets. Following the closing, Grupo Mexico owns 70% of Saavi Energia, while Global Infrastructure Partners, a subsidiary of BlackRock, owns the remaining 30%, the release said.
Combined generation platform
The platform comprises 10 strategically located power plants in Mexico, one mobile power-generation business and three gas-compression stations. Its combined power-generation capacity is 4.5 gigawatts, according to the company announcement.

The Mexican Stock Exchange identifies Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. as the issuer of the active Series B shares under ticker GMEXICO. The exchange lists the company’s website as gmexico.com in its issuer information.
