In a September 16 press release, Grifols said it had entered into a renewable power purchase agreement with ENGIE for 40 GWh of renewable energy annually over 10 years. The agreement is scheduled to run from 2027 through 2037 and is expected to enable renewable sources to cover 66 percent of Grifols’ electricity demand in Spain. The company said the arrangement is expected to avoid approximately 8,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
