In a release dated October 2, Glencore said it now expects full-year 2026 marketing adjusted earnings before interest and tax to exceed USD 5 billion. The company also set a new long-term marketing adjusted EBIT guidance range of USD 2.8 billion to USD 4.2 billion, compared with its previous range of USD 2.3 billion to USD 3.5 billion. The updated methodology is intended for application from 2027.
Glencore also said trading in its Australian Securities Exchange CHESS Depositary Interests is expected to begin on October 14, 2026, under the symbol GLC. Each CDI represents a beneficial interest in one Glencore ordinary share, according to the company.
Approval for Agua Rica project
In a separate October 2 release, Glencore plc said it had received approval for the Minera Agua Rica-Alumbrera project under Argentina's Incentive Regime for Large Investments. The company said first production from the Alumbrera restart is now expected in the second half of 2027, compared with original guidance for the first half of 2028.
