In an official release dated September 10, 2026, Flughafen Zürich AG reported that 3,326,119 passengers passed through Zurich Airport in August, up 1.8 percent from the prior-year month. Flight movements increased 2.9 percent to 26,009, while freight volume declined 0.4 percent to 34,444 tons.
The company also reported 2,303,777 local passengers and a 30.6 percent transfer rate in August. At its international airports, passenger counts included 372,306 at Florianópolis, 361,728 at Vitória/Macaé, 240,747 at Natal, 118,878 at Iquique and 64,982 at Noida, according to the same release.
Upcoming airport career program
Flughafen Zürich AG announced that Zurich Airport Ltd. and 12 partner companies will hold Career Days from November 2 through November 8, 2026. The program includes guided tours, information sessions and a Job Meet & Greet scheduled for November 7.
