Exxon Mobil stock reports Guyana production milestone

ExxonMobil said production from Guyana’s Stabroek block has reached one billion barrels. The milestone was achieved less than seven years after first production began.

ExxonMobil said on September 28, 2026, that it and its co-venturers had produced the one billionth barrel of oil from Guyana’s Stabroek block. First production began in December 2019, according to the company’s Guyana newsroom.

Offshore capacity expands

The company said four offshore developments, supported by the Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, Prosperity and ONE GUYANA floating production, storage and offloading vessels, have lifted installed capacity to more than 900,000 barrels per day. ExxonMobil also said the Uaru project is expected to start up by the end of 2026, while Whiptail and Hammerhead are targeted to begin production in 2027 and 2029, respectively, according to the company’s account.
