In a company release dated October 7, 2026, Digital Realty announced the start of construction of KIX15, a 24 megawatt data center at its KIX Campus in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2028 and is being developed by MC Digital Realty, the company’s 50/50 joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation. Upon completion, the Japan portfolio is expected to reach 10 data centers with approximately 220 megawatts of aggregate IT capacity.
