CXMT stock after-hours: Fifth-generation DRAM platform enters mass production

Fifth-generation platform
CXMT said the new platform reduces the spacing of key memory-array features to 11.95 nanometers using quadruple patterning. The company said the platform can produce at least 50 percent more gross chip dies per wafer than its fourth-generation platform, based on an 8-gigabit chip, according to Reuters.
The company also unveiled two 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products made on the platform. Reuters reported that the products hold 50 percent more data than CXMT's previous comparable products and are already in mass production for smartphone and portable-device applications.
