Fifth-generation DRAM platform enters mass production
On September 20, 2026, CXMT said its fifth-generation dynamic random-access memory platform had entered mass production, according to Reuters. The company said the platform reduced the spacing of key features in the data-storage area to 11.95 nanometers and could produce at least 50 percent more gross chip dies per wafer than its fourth-generation platform, based on an 8-gigabit chip.
CXMT also unveiled two 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products made on the platform. The company said each product holds 50 percent more data than its previous equivalent products and that both were already in mass production, according to Reuters.
