CXMT Corporation reports fifth-generation DRAM platform enters mass production

CXMT Corporation said its fifth-generation DRAM technology platform had entered mass production on September 20, 2026, according to Reuters. The company presented the platform at the 2026 World Manufacturing Convention in Hefei.
New DRAM platform
CXMT said the platform reduces the spacing of key data-storage structures to 11.95 nanometers through quadruple patterning. The company also said the platform can produce at least 50% more gross chip dies per wafer than its fourth-generation platform, based on an 8-gigabit chip baseline, Reuters reported.
LPDDR5X products
The company unveiled two 24-gigabit LPDDR5X products made on the new platform. CXMT said each product holds 50% more data than its previous comparable products and is already in mass production for smartphones and other portable electronics, Reuters reported.
