Arrests reported in Silves
The Portugal News reported on October 6, 2026, that two men aged 19 and 26 were arrested in Silves after allegedly posing as CTT employees to collect parcels without paying. The report said the suspects were caught near a CTT branch on October 1 while carrying parcels worth about EUR 3,500.
Police investigation
The report said searches recovered four parcels, a CTT vest, two mobile phones, a laptop and other items. The suspects appeared before the Silves Judicial Court and were ordered to report periodically to police while the case continues.
