BT International announces UBS rollout
Separately, BT Group’s newsroom reported on September 29 that BT International, through its specialized trading business BT Trading & Command, had been selected by UBS to modernize the bank’s global trader communications.
The companies are rolling out a cloud-native trader voice platform hosted in Microsoft Azure. BT said the deployment is among the first live uses of cloud-based trader voice services in a banking trading environment.
The platform is intended to consolidate UBS’s trading systems from 20 platforms into one global solution. The BT newsroom said the system operates across 17 countries and is currently used by more than 2,400 traders, with capacity to scale further. The solution also includes encryption, recording and monitoring capabilities, together with oversight middleware designed to support regulatory compliance.
BT Group’s international business
The company’s newsroom describes BT International as serving multinational organizations headquartered outside the United Kingdom and overseas public-sector customers. It also says BT Group has announced plans to contribute International to a new joint venture, with completion expected in the second half of 2027.
