The company said its fuel cells generate continuous 800V DC power onsite and can reduce infrastructure costs, space requirements and power losses compared with traditional AC systems.
Bloom Energy’s analysis for a 1 GW AI data center estimated that its 800V DC solution could reduce non-compute capital expenditures by $3.6 billion, or 27 percent, and lower five-year total cost of ownership by $5.5 billion, or 9 percent, compared with traditional AC solutions, according to the same release.
