2026 outlook lowered
In an issuer announcement transmitted by EQS, Bilfinger said it now expects 2026 revenue of EUR 5.3 billion to EUR 5.7 billion, compared with its previous range of EUR 5.4 billion to EUR 5.9 billion. The company attributed the change to expected second-half performance falling significantly short of its original assumptions, partly because of continuing geopolitical uncertainties.
Bilfinger now expects an EBITA margin of 3.2 percent to 3.6 percent for 2026, down from 5.8 percent to 6.2 percent. Adjusted for one-off costs connected with the Agile program, the expected EBITA margin is 4.6 percent to 5.0 percent. The company expects free cash flow of EUR 180 million to EUR 220 million, compared with its previous range of EUR 250 million to EUR 300 million.
Bilfinger said Agile will involve approximately EUR 75 million in one-off costs in 2026. Once fully implemented, the program is expected to contribute approximately EUR 75 million annually from 2028. The company confirmed its 2030 targets, including average annual revenue growth of 8 percent to 10 percent and an EBITA margin of 8 percent to 9 percent.
