Leadership change and Utah manufacturing milestone
Becton, Dickinson and Company said on September 21, 2026, that Arthur Hu had been named executive vice president and chief information and digital officer, effective September 30. Hu succeeds Denise Russell Fleming, who is scheduled to retire at the end of 2026.
In a separate September 29 release, BD marked 70 years of manufacturing at its Sandy, Utah, facility. The company said the 650,000-square-foot site employs more than 1,000 people, produces peripheral intravenous catheters and manufactures hundreds of millions of catheters and billions of molded components each year. BD also said it had invested more than $100 million in the site over the past five years.
