Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria launched Global Wealth on October 6, 2026, bringing its Premium, Private Banking and Ultra High Net Worth segments under a common umbrella brand across its markets, according to an official BBVA release.
Common wealth-management structure
BBVA said the new structure is designed to provide a more consistent service model for high-net-worth clients and their families while combining local capabilities with the group’s international platform. The offering is organized around Premium, Private Banking and UHN, with local variations in Spain, Mexico and Colombia, the bank said in the release.
Buyback and shareholder distribution
In a separate corporate announcement dated October 2, 2026, BBVA said it had completed the first tranche of its extraordinary EUR 2.00 billion share buyback program. Between August 5 and October 1, the bank repurchased shares worth EUR 1.00 billion, equivalent to 40,204,840 shares or approximately 0.73 percent of its share capital, according to BBVA.
The bank also said it plans to pay a gross cash dividend of EUR 0.37 per share on October 15, 2026, against 2026 earnings. BBVA described the payment as its highest interim dividend to date.
