B&M has created an immersive digital twin of its 55,000-square-foot Worthington Way store in Wigan. The model combines a three-dimensional replica with drone footage and was used ahead of a seven-phase overhaul completed in August, according to Retail Gazette.
The retailer used the model to test layouts, signage, flooring and other design changes before physical work began. B&M said the project will provide a blueprint for future refurbishment and expansion projects, while a version of the virtual store has also been adapted for customers to explore online, Retail Gazette reported.
