Executive appointment
Arkema announced on September 28 that François Desné will join the company as Senior Vice President of High Performance Polymers and Fluorogases and as a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, effective October 12, 2026. He will succeed Laurent Tellier, who was appointed Arkema’s Chief Operating Officer in July. The company said Desné has nearly 30 years of international industry experience and has held senior positions at Bekaert, Recticel, BASF and Rhodia. Jarrie hydrogen project
In a September 22 release, Arkema said it had inaugurated a new hydrogen production unit at its Jarrie site in Isère. The Steam Methane Reforming unit was commissioned in July 2026 and represents an investment of approximately EUR 10 million. Arkema said the unit supplies hydrogen to the site and forms the first phase of an investment plan extending through 2028. The company identified Jarrie as its largest hydrogen peroxide production facility. The information appears in an Arkema press release.
