Ukraine operations remain suspended
In a September 25, 2026 release distributed by GlobeNewswire, ArcelorMittal S.A. said it could not restart operations at its Ukrainian subsidiary, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, in a safe and sustainable manner. The company said the facility had been targeted by four missile strikes over five weeks, with five people killed and 17 employees injured.
ArcelorMittal said it had provided more than USD 700 million to support continuity at the subsidiary. It also expects to record an approximately USD 1 billion non-cash impairment charge, principally related to property, plant and equipment at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
