Amcor plc said Graeme Liebelt will retire as chairman of the company’s board at the end of his current term. The transition is scheduled to take effect at Amcor’s annual meeting of stockholders on November 11, 2026, according to the company’s September 29 announcement.
The board has elected Tom Long, an independent non-executive director since 2017, to become chairman when Liebelt retires. Long is a former chief executive officer of MillerCoors and currently chairs Wolverine Worldwide’s board.
Amcor said Liebelt has served as chairman of Amcor plc and its predecessor company for nearly 13 years. The company identifies itself in the release as listed on the New York Stock Exchange under AMCR and on the Australian Securities Exchange under AMC.
