Arizona semiconductor investment
On September 16, 2026, Air Products announced that it had signed a long-term agreement with a leading semiconductor manufacturer to supply high-purity industrial gases and related infrastructure in the United States. The customer was not named in the release. Air Products said it would invest approximately $250 million in Arizona to build, own and operate gas-supply infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging operations.
The planned infrastructure includes hydrogen-generation units, carbon-dioxide purification units, and bulk-gas systems for helium, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Supply is targeted to come onstream in phases. Air Products said the Arizona project was its second recently announced semiconductor manufacturing supply win, with the two projects representing a combined investment of more than $900 million.
