Research collaboration
On September 14, Air Liquide, the École normale supérieure and the ENS Foundation announced the creation of a research chair called “Artificial intelligence for chemistry and through chemistry.” The announcement was published by Air Liquide.
The chair is the first research chair launched under ENS-PSL's normalesup.ai initiative. Air Liquide said the work will combine machine learning with fundamental chemical knowledge and focus on applications spanning artificial intelligence, chemistry and materials science.
According to the company, the collaboration is intended to support scientific discovery and develop talent, including students, doctoral candidates and early-career researchers. Air Liquide also described artificial intelligence as a driver of transformation across its value chain and innovation activities.
