Aflac Incorporated published findings from its 2026 Aflac Life Insurance and Legacy Planning Study on October 6. The study surveyed 1,000 employed U.S. adults between May 29 and June 9, 2026.
The study found that 95 percent of respondents considered it important to make end-of-life matters easier for loved ones. However, 57 percent said they had a last will and testament, while 50 percent had completed a power of attorney. Aflac said it provides eligible employees with access to legacy planning and bereavement support through its partnership with Empathy.
