Aena reports 4.7 percent passenger growth in August

Aena Group airports handled 41.38 million passengers in August 2026, up 4.7 percent from a year earlier. The company also approved a EUR 1.09 gross dividend per share for fiscal 2025.

Aena Group airports handled 41,381,404 passengers in August 2026, an increase of 4.7 percent from the same month a year earlier, according to an Aena release published September 15, 2026. The group handled 330,526 aircraft movements, up 4.5 percent, while freight traffic fell 5.7 percent to 116,723 tonnes.

Passenger traffic rises across the group

Aena’s Spanish airports recorded 34,890,784 passengers in August, 4.7 percent more than in August 2025. From January through August, total passenger traffic across the group reached 272,247,393, an increase of 4.1 percent year over year, the company said.

Fiscal 2025 dividend approved

Aena’s Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting approved the allocation of the company’s 2025 profit on April 16, 2026. The allocation includes a gross dividend of EUR 1.09 per share, according to the company’s shareholder remuneration notice published September 11, 2026.
