ABB said it will demonstrate AL-EMS electromagnetic stirring technology and draw on metallurgical expertise from more than 430 furnace installations worldwide. The company cited demonstrated benefits of up to 25 percent higher productivity, up to 15 percent less dross generation and up to 10 percent lower energy consumption for the technology. ABB will also present Stressometer force measurement, strip tension measurement and the Millmate Thickness Gauge Box Gauge.

Separately, ABB Ltd reported that it repurchased 544,228 shares between September 24 and September 30, 2026, under a buyback program announced on February 6, 2026. The company said total purchases under the program reached 9,865,326 shares from February 9 through September 30. The announcement was published through Deutsche Börse on October 1, 2026. The purchases were carried out on a separate trading line on the SIX Swiss Exchange by a bank acting on behalf of ABB.
