Technology deployment planned for NURA
AAK said on October 2 that its patented dry-fractionation technology is set for its first commercial deployment at NURA Speciality oils & fats, a joint venture between AAK and KLK under construction in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. The technology is intended to produce specialty palm-mid fractions used in cocoa-butter equivalents for chocolate and confectionery. AAK said ramp-up at NURA is expected in 2028, followed by full production in 2029. The company said the facility is intended to strengthen its upstream access to specialty palm fractions and support the long-term growth of its Chocolate & Confectionery Fats business. AAK published the update.
