Zcash funds posted 15.18 million USD
A spot ETF is a fund that holds the underlying asset directly. EconoTimes said the Zcash products recorded 15.18 million USD in net inflows on October 21, 2026, the largest total among four altcoin ETF groups reported for that session. The Grayscale Zcash ETF, traded under the ticker ZCSH, had 745.39 million USD in net assets, 169.03 million USD in cumulative net inflows and 92.84 million USD in trading volume on that date, according to the same report.
NU7 keeps 25-second blocks in view
Zcash developers are preparing Network Upgrade 7, or NU7, a protocol change designed to reduce the target interval between blocks from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. CoinDesk reported that the upgrade ran on public testnet from October 4, 2026, with a November 5, 2026 mainnet target. The report said NU7 also directs 60 percent of transaction fees to a reserve for future mining rewards while keeping the issuance schedule in place.
The planned change has an operational requirement for some holders. CoinDesk reported that NU7 disables version 4 transactions used by Zcash's original Sprout shielded pool, so funds remaining there become unspendable after activation. The Zcash Foundation said on October 21, 2026, that fixes for testnet synchronization problems were merged and were lined up for the stable NU7 release.
ETF outflows marked October 19
The latest inflow followed a separate withdrawal. TokenPost reported a 10.4 million USD net outflow from the Zcash ETF on October 19, 2026, and listed a 14.7633 million USD outflow on October 15, 2026. These figures cover individual sessions rather than a cumulative October total.
