- XRP Ledger amendment fixCleanup3_4_0 is conditionally targeted for activation on November 4, 2026.
- The amendment addresses a permission flaw affecting issued tokens, including stablecoins, but not XRP's native supply.
- Activation requires more than 80 percent support from trusted validators for two uninterrupted weeks.
- Investing.com displayed XRP at USD 1.2507 at retrieval, with a market capitalization of USD 79.03 billion.
XRP price is in focus as the XRP Ledger approaches a conditional activation window for fixCleanup3_4_0, an amendment designed to correct several transaction-processing issues. CoinDesk reported on November 2 that the earliest activation window is around November 4 at 14:46 UTC, provided the required validator support remains in place.
At retrieval on November 3, the Investing.com XRP page displayed a price of USD 1.2507. It also showed a 24-hour volume of USD 1.30 billion, a market capitalization of USD 79.03 billion, a circulating supply of 63.35 billion XRP and a maximum supply of 100 billion XRP. The page showed XRP ranked fifth among the listed cryptocurrencies. No UTC daily-close comparison is used here because the retrieved page did not provide the matching previous-day basis.
Permission flaw is the central issue
The amendment addresses a flaw involving the delegated PaymentBurn permission. According to CoinDesk, an account authorized only to destroy issued tokens could, under certain conditions, create new ones. The affected assets include tokens issued on the ledger, such as stablecoins. XRP's native supply is not affected, and CoinDesk found no public records or reports that the flaw had been exploited.
The XRPL documentation currently recommends not delegating PaymentBurn until fixCleanup3_4_0 is enabled. The change is intended to separate the authority to burn tokens from the authority to mint them.
Activation still depends on validators
CoinDesk reported support from 33 of 35 tracked trusted validators. With 35 validators, at least 29 votes are needed to exceed the 80 percent threshold. The support must remain above that threshold for two uninterrupted weeks. A temporary fall to 26 validators on October 21 reset the countdown and delayed the expected activation by nearly two weeks.
The amendment also contains corrections for trading-pool calculations, single-asset vault accounting and loan-status checks. This should not be confused with the launch of XRPL's broader lending service: CoinDesk reported that the related lending and vault amendments still lacked enough votes to begin their own approval periods.
For investors, the immediate distinction is between a protocol-maintenance upgrade and a change to XRP's monetary supply. The amendment concerns how certain issued assets and ledger transactions are processed; it does not create a new XRP issuance event. Validator support and the eventual network checkpoint therefore remain the key developments to monitor rather than the conditional date alone. Further protocol context is available in the XRPL amendment documentation.
