VIX falls as oil retreats and stocks recover
WTI last traded at USD 102.36, below Friday's USD 103.27 settle. The S&P 500 recovered last week's oil-driven decline as crude eased from a six-month high, Thrive in Markets writes.
Early trading data showed WTI at USD 101.22, down 1.99 percent, while the VIX stood at 19.20. Oil weakness and lower Treasury yields supported equities at the open, Charles Schwab said.
