The USDC price remained close to the dollar peg as the stablecoin's payments use expanded beyond crypto-native markets. On the Investing.com page retrieved for this report, USDC was displayed at 1.0010 USD at 12:16:33 Berliner Zeit, with a daily range of 1.0007 to 1.0011 USD and a 52-week range of 0.9991 to 1.0023 USD. The same page listed 14.54 billion USD in 24-hour volume and a market capitalization of 70.89 billion USD. The figures are market snapshots, not a UTC day-close comparison.
The most concrete recent adoption development is a collaboration announced on October 27 by ACI Worldwide and Circle. According to the Circle investor release, a Colombian pilot is examining how USDC settlement can work through ACI Connetic alongside Bre-B, Colombia's interoperable instant-payment system. The initiative is designed to let financial institutions assess digital-asset settlement within established payment workflows rather than replacing existing rails.
Usage rises faster than circulation
Circle's third-quarter results, announced on November 4, put the payments test into a broader operating context. In its Q3 2026 results, the issuer said average USDC in circulation rose 8 percent year over year to 73.3 billion USD. Onchain USDC transaction volume increased 49 percent to 13.9 trillion USD. That combination suggests more activity per circulating dollar, although it does not by itself establish a lasting increase in demand for balances.
The results also showed a less uniform picture for Circle's economics. Reserve income fell 8 percent year over year to 658 million USD, as a 61-basis-point decline in the reserve return rate offset the increase in average circulation. Total revenue and reserve income reached 865 million USD, up 17 percent, while 182 million USD of other revenue came from the ARC token presale. For investors assessing the USDC price and the token's stability, these figures matter mainly through the issuer's reserve economics and distribution incentives, not as a direct valuation measure for the stablecoin.
What the peg says - and does not say
USDC is designed to maintain a one-to-one value with the U.S. dollar and to be redeemable at that ratio by eligible customers. Circle states on its USDC information page that the token is backed by cash and cash-equivalent assets, with monthly reserve attestations. The page reported 71.0 billion USDC in circulation as of October 26, 2026.
For market participants, the key distinction is between stability and growth. A price near 1 USD indicates that the peg is holding; it does not show whether circulation, transaction activity or Circle's reserve income will continue to expand. The Colombia pilot therefore offers a practical adoption signal, while the latest quarterly data point to strong usage growth alongside a more challenging earnings mix.
