TA-35 closed at 4,090 points on October 8, 2026, down 0.2 percent as Biomed, real estate and technology stocks led losses, according to Investing.com. The decline took the index to a new one-month low.
Technology and real estate lead the decline
Globes reported that the Tel Aviv Biomed Index fell 1.8 percent and the Tel Aviv Construction Index dropped 1.7 percent, while the Tel Aviv Insurance Index rose 1.8 percent.
Nova was the weakest TA-35 constituent, falling 4.7 percent. Tower Semiconductor lost 3.4 percent and Ormat Technologies declined 2.7 percent. NextVision rose 2.5 percent after its sharp losses in the previous two sessions, while Bank Leumi gained 0.3 percent and Bank Hapoalim added 0.2 percent, according to Globes.
Decliners outnumber gainers 283 to 195
The breadth of the session was negative, with 283 stocks falling, 195 rising and 82 unchanged. The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was the strongest TA-35 performer, gaining 3.7 percent, followed by Phoenix Financial at 3.3 percent and Enlight Renewable Energy at 2.6 percent, Investing.com reported.
Brent crude rose 5.3 percent to USD 105.49 a barrel, while the shekel weakened 0.3 percent against the USD to 3.0840, according to Globes.
