Solana price weighs ETF outflows against network upgrades

- Solana's latest displayed price was 96.08 USD, while market demand remains sensitive to ETF flows.
- TradingNews reported record October outflows from US spot Solana ETFs, although flows were flat on November 2 and 3.
- The Alpenglow upgrade reduced targeted transaction finality from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, but network revenue remains a key concern.
The Solana price is caught between improving network infrastructure and weaker investment demand. Investing.com displayed SOL/USD at 96.08 USD on its live Solana page, with a market capitalization of 56.56 billion USD, 590.26 million SOL in circulation and a rank of seven among cryptocurrencies. The page also showed a 24-hour volume of 4.11 billion USD.
ETF demand remains a headwind
Recent fund flows continue to give investors a reason for caution. TradingNews reported that US spot Solana ETFs recorded 71.47 million USD in net outflows during the week from October 26 to 30, the largest weekly withdrawal since launch. October outflows reached 143.7 million USD, also a record for the products. However, all seven funds recorded zero net flows on November 2 and 3. That pause may indicate that forced selling has eased, but it does not yet establish a durable reversal in demand.
Upgrade improves the network case
Alpenglow went live on October 21, according to the same TradingNews report. The upgrade targets transaction finality of about 150 milliseconds, compared with roughly 12.8 seconds under the previous consensus system. That improvement could support payments, trading and tokenized asset settlement, although faster finality alone does not guarantee stronger demand for SOL.
Network use and token economics are not moving in lockstep. TradingNews reported that Solana led all chains in decentralized exchange volume for a 15th consecutive month, with more than 65 billion USD in October. At the same time, the report said network revenue fell to 141 million USD in the first half of 2026, down 87.1 percent from the comparable period in 2025. For investors, the central question is whether institutional and real-world-asset activity can eventually rebuild fee income rather than merely increase transaction capacity.
Technical picture stays unsettled
A separate U.Today analysis recorded SOL at 92.69 USD on November 4 and said the token was trading below major moving averages. It identified the 98 to 100 USD area as nearby resistance and approximately 90 USD as support. These levels are technical reference points, not forecasts, and the Solana price remains exposed to broader crypto-market volatility and changes in ETF demand.
For investors, the current setup is therefore mixed: infrastructure milestones strengthen Solana's long-term proposition, while ETF redemptions and falling revenue challenge the near-term valuation case. The next evidence to watch is whether ETF flows return to positive territory and whether network growth begins to translate into higher fees.
