Evotec was the strongest SDAX stock, up 7.4 percent after preliminary nine-month results exceeded market expectations, according to Borsen-Zeitung. PNE fell 17.0 percent after lowering its earnings outlook because of project delays.
Why is the SDAX higher at midday?
Evotec said its first nine-month revenue should reach EUR 465 million, while adjusted EBITDA is expected at a loss of EUR 42.8 million. The figures were better than market expectations, and the company confirmed its 2026 outlook.
Broader European equities also advanced after ASML raised its sales outlook on strong demand for chipmaking equipment. Oil remained above USD 100 a barrel, keeping inflation concerns in focus, as Reuters reports.

The SDAX's advance followed a 0.36 percent opening gain. ProCredit Holding also entered the index on October 14, replacing Nagarro after an unscheduled adjustment announced by ISS STOXX.
