BCP drops 3.3 percent as Lisbon underperforms
Banco Comercial Portugues was the session's biggest decliner, falling 3.3 percent. Sonae lost 1.9 percent, NOS declined 1.5 percent, Corticeira Amorim dropped 1.2 percent and Galp Energia fell 0.8 percent, Jornal Economico said.
Gains were led by Mota Engil, up 1.4 percent, and EDP Renovaveis, which advanced 1.2 percent. EDP rose 0.4 percent and CTT gained 0.3 percent. The decline left Lisbon out of step with the broader European recovery.
Energy and financial stocks shape the session
Financials, consumer services and telecommunications were among the sectors weighing on the index. Investing.com also identified the close as the PSI 20's lowest level in one month.
