- The MDAX declined 1.13% at the Frankfurt close on Friday, October 30, 2026.
- Technology, industrial and construction stocks led the broader German market lower.
- Puma, Stroeer and CTS Eventim were the strongest MDAX performers, while Redcare Pharmacy, Bechtle and Aixtron recorded the largest losses.
The MDAX closed 1.13% lower in Frankfurt on Friday, October 30, 2026. The decline came as losses in technology, industrial and construction stocks weighed on German equities, according to Investing.com in a closing-market report published on October 30.
Technology and industrial shares weigh
The move reflected a broadly weaker session across German equities. The DAX fell 0.85%, while the TecDAX lost 1.43%. On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing issues by 402 to 261, with 80 shares unchanged, the report said.
Puma leads MDAX gainers
Puma was the strongest MDAX performer, rising 5.59% to 26.62. Stroeer gained 2.35% to 38.26, while CTS Eventim advanced 2.12% to 64.90. Their gains provided some resistance within the mid-cap benchmark but were not enough to offset the broader selling pressure.
Redcare Pharmacy among weakest shares
Redcare Pharmacy fell 6.33% to 69.60 and recorded the largest decline among the listed MDAX names cited in the report. Bechtle lost 5.95% to 33.50, while Aixtron dropped 5.27% to 32.34. The contrasting performance highlights the uneven trading pattern beneath the index-level decline.
For investors, the session points to continued sensitivity in German mid-caps to sector-wide technology and cyclical-stock weakness. The index move describes the session outcome, but does not by itself establish a single cause for the performance of individual constituents.
