IDX Composite closes 1.0 percent higher as banks lead rally

IDX Composite closed at 6,094 points on October 9, 2026, up 1.0 percent, as large-capitalization banks, infrastructure shares and basic-materials stocks led a broad recovery. Kompas reported a close of 6,093.76 points, after the index opened at 6,039.01 and traded between 5,995.82 and 6,100.58.
The move followed a 1.9 percent decline on October 8 and returned the benchmark above the 6,000-point level. The session ended with 381 stocks higher, 238 lower and 172 unchanged, according to VIVA.
Large-cap stocks support the rebound
Telkom Indonesia rose 2.7 percent, Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 2.3 percent and Bumi Resources advanced 3.5 percent. Bank Central Asia also rose 0.8 percent, while GoTo Gojek Tokopedia was unchanged, EmitenNews reported.
Sector gains were led by basic materials at 1.7 percent, industrials at 1.5 percent and infrastructure at 1.2 percent. Property was the only sector to decline, falling 0.2 percent, while 10 sectors finished higher, according to Databoks.
