IBEX 35 rises 0.91 percent at midday as oil falls below USD 100

Brent crude was down 1.8 percent at USD 98.4 per barrel, while WTI fell 2 percent to USD 87.6. The decline followed the G7 decision to release 100 million barrels of crude oil and diesel, as Democrata reported.
BPCE acquired 7 percent of Banco Sabadell and committed not to exceed 9.99 percent. Spain's Treasury also placed EUR 6.47 billion in six- and 12-month bills. The 12-month yield rose to 3.026 percent, its highest level since July 2024, according to Democrata.

Rovi gained 3.5 percent, Solaria rose 3.32 percent, Puig advanced 2.8 percent, Grifols added 2.7 percent and Sabadell increased 2.34 percent. Ferrovial lost 1.98 percent and Repsol declined 1.64 percent. Sabadell's move followed the BPCE transaction, which was announced before the market opened, according to Democrata.
The next scheduled Spanish Treasury bill auction is set for October 13, 2026, covering three- and nine-month maturities, according to elDiario.
