Hyperliquid price is entering a potentially important supply event with a core-contributor token unlock scheduled for November 6, 2026. Tokenomist lists the release date and allocation but does not establish how many tokens will be sold on the market. For HYPE holders, the key issue is therefore the possible change in available supply rather than the calendar date alone.
Unlock creates a near-term risk
Tokenomist says Hyperliquid uses a vesting schedule that extends into 2027 and relies heavily on cliff releases. It identifies the next unlock as a core-contributor allocation on November 6. The same source reports 436,607,776 HYPE unlocked, equal to 48.47 percent of the one-billion-token total supply, while float represents 45.87 percent of the maximum supply excluding burned tokens.
That structure leaves investors with two separate questions: how much of an allocation becomes transferable, and whether recipients sell, hold or use the tokens within the ecosystem. A scheduled unlock can increase potential supply, but it is not proof of selling pressure or a forecast of a price decline.
Burns offer a counterweight
Tokenomist reports 48,136,704 HYPE burned and gives a maximum supply of 951,863,296 tokens after those burns. Hyperliquid's official website says HYPE is used for staking, governance, gas fees, trading-fee discounts and asset-deployment fees. It also states that 99 percent of protocol revenue is directed to the Assistance Fund, which purchases and burns HYPE as part of the blockchain's execution.
This creates a mixed tokenomics picture: scheduled releases can expand the effective supply, while protocol-funded purchases and burns reduce the number of tokens permanently. The balance depends on actual trading activity, revenue and the timing of any distributions.
Market snapshot and investor context
The Investing.com HYPE/USD page displayed a price of 86.8940 USD at 15:36:26 Berlin time, up 0.93 percent in the displayed session. The page also showed a 21.75 billion USD market capitalization, 1.24 billion USD in 24-hour volume and a rank of 9. These figures are a market snapshot, not a verified UTC daily close for November 3, so they should not be treated as a day-over-day UTC performance calculation.
Separately, TokenPost reported that HYPE rose 4.96 percent in one hour to 88.48 USD at 15:10 UTC on November 4, based on Binance's HYPE/USDT spot market. The report also recorded 1.41 million USD in short liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX during that hour. That observation describes a specific market interval and does not establish that the move was caused by the upcoming unlock.
For investors, the Hyperliquid price outlook therefore hinges on the interaction between the November 6 distribution, realized demand for the network and the continuing burn mechanism. Hyperliquid's official website describes the project as a layer-one blockchain for perpetual futures, spot trading and additional financial applications, but adoption does not eliminate token-specific volatility.
