The Ethena USDe price remained close to its dollar target as investors assessed a change in how institutional lending counterparties may be approved. On the retrieved Investing.com quote page, USDe was displayed at USD 1.000 at 07:45:34 Berlin time on November 6, 2026. The page also showed a daily range of USD 1.000 to USD 1.001, 24-hour volume of USD 45.64 million and market capitalization of USD 4.58 billion. Those figures are a point-in-time quote, not a verified UTC day-close comparison.
Lending authority shifts
The central development is an institutional-lending framework dated October 29. CryptoSlate reported on November 3 that the framework allows Ethena's trading team to approve qualifying borrowers without an individual Risk Committee vote. The committee keeps oversight and can call in a borrower if a published criterion is considered to have failed.
The framework applies to bilateral loans with full recourse to the borrower or a parent guarantee. It also specifies jurisdiction and standing checks, sanctions screening, segregated third-party custody and verifiable daily collateral reports. A missed margin call, default or changed standing is intended to stop new lending to the counterparty and trigger escalation.
Disclosure remains the key issue
For USDe holders, the approval change matters because lending is part of the broader reserve and liquidity structure supporting the synthetic dollar. CryptoSlate noted that the public framework does not set a numerical aggregate lending cap or per-borrower concentration ceiling. It also reported that a November 1 dashboard capture did not provide current borrower-level balances, concentration data or collateral ratios. This does not establish a loss, but it limits what outside holders can independently assess about current credit exposure.
Backing and peg context
Separately, EconoTimes reported on October 30 that Ethena cited more than USD 60 million in excess collateral and a collateralization ratio above 101%. The report said Ethena stated that Binance and other centralized trading platforms did not directly hold USDe backing funds, while distinguishing custody of backing assets from venues used for hedging.
The Ethena USDe price holding near USD 1 indicates that the reported lending-policy change had not displaced the token from its target at the observed quote time. It does not by itself resolve counterparty, custody, liquidation or smart-contract risks. For investors, the next useful signals are updated borrower disclosures, reserve attestations and evidence of how the framework is applied in practice.
