A public testnet targets 300 transactions per second
Coinotag reported that DogeOS launched its Chikyu public testnet on September 30, 2026. The system is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible Layer 2, meaning an application layer that runs above the base blockchain, and it uses DOGE as its transaction-fee token.
The report said the testnet targets 300 transactions per second, compared with roughly 30 transactions per second on the base chain. It also said the project raised 6.9 million USD in seed funding led by Polychain Capital. The testnet is designed for applications including trading, lending, stablecoins, prediction markets and games.
Hashrate stands at 2.80 petahash
