DijkstraNet prepares protocol version 12
Crypto.news reported on October 22, 2026, that DijkstraNet became available to stake pool operators after an October 21, 2026, restart. The test network was running node 11.1.3, while node 11.2 is intended to support the testnet move to protocol version 12, known as Dijkstra.
The report describes DijkstraNet as a testing path for Dijkstra features without Leios, while MusashiNet gives downstream teams access to a prototype that includes the Leios feature set. A testnet is a separate blockchain environment where operators can evaluate software before a mainnet deployment.
CIP-0113 went live on October 7
Cardano Foundation said on October 7, 2026, that CIP-0113 programmable tokens went live on Cardano mainnet. The standard lets issuers of stablecoins, funds and other regulated assets attach compliance rules to native Cardano tokens, including identity checks, sanctions screening and transfer restrictions.
The rules apply to tokens that use the standard rather than automatically applying to ADA. The foundation said the launch included support from Eternl, GeroWallet, CardanoScan and BloxBean, and that the standard did not require a hard fork, meaning a change to the network's underlying consensus rules.
Epoch 660 set a 1.78 million transaction record
TechBullion reported that Epoch 660 processed 1,780,896 transactions during the five-day period ending October 11, 2026. The network also recorded 337,720 ADA in fees, while October 8, 2026, brought a daily record of 542,532 transactions. These figures describe network use, not a direct change in ADA ownership or price.
