Chainlink price is in focus after Chainlink expanded its institutional market-data infrastructure. The network launched Chainlink 24/7 on October 29, extending reference pricing for tokenized equities, commodities and other real-world assets across regular sessions, weekends and market holidays.

Tech Report reported that Aave is the launch partner for the service. Aave plans to use Chainlink 24/7 Data Feeds on its Horizon institutional lending platform to value tokenized collateral, initially including high-volume US equities. The report said the service combines regular and extended-session data during the week with aggregated quotes from perpetual-futures venues when traditional markets are closed. Tech Report also noted that these off-hours references are derivatives-based indicators, not cash-market transactions.

More data for onchain lending

The development addresses a structural gap between continuously operating blockchains and financial markets that close overnight or for holidays. For lending protocols, a more continuous reference can support collateral monitoring and risk controls. It does not remove market risk: an off-hours derivative reference may differ from the next opening price of the underlying traditional asset.

Chainlink also expanded its collaboration with S&P Global Ratings on October 28. According to a PR Newswire release carried by Yahoo Finance, S&P's Vault Risk Assessment data is available onchain through Chainlink DataLink and the Chainlink Runtime Environment, with Base as the initial supported blockchain. The assessment addresses risks including portfolio credit quality, liquidity mismatch, curator, blockchain, protocol, security and governance risks. It is not a credit rating and does not assess yield levels.

LINK market context

The reviewed Investing.com quote page showed LINK at 11.620 USD at 17:41:21 Berlin time on November 6, 2026. The same page displayed a market capitalization of 8.72 billion USD, 24-hour volume of 384.27 million USD, a rank of 13 and a 52-week range of 7.003 to 16.766 USD. For investors, the recent announcements strengthen the case for watching Chainlink as infrastructure for tokenized assets and DeFi risk management. The commercial significance will depend on actual adoption, data quality and how applications manage the limitations of off-hours reference prices.
