Cardano price stays below 0.20 USD as upgrade work advances

- Cardano operators were urged to patch a critical Linux vulnerability affecting infrastructure that produces blocks.
- New proposals address regulated stablecoins and quantum-resistant signature verification, but neither is an activated network upgrade.
- The Dijkstra roadmap remains focused on late-2026 preparation, while ADA was listed at 0.1923 USD in an Investing.com snapshot read on November 2.
Cardano price remains below the 0.20 USD level as the network balances an immediate infrastructure warning with longer-term development work. An Investing.com snapshot read on November 2 listed ADA/USD at 0.1923 USD, with 24-hour volume of 138.98 million USD, market capitalization of 7.08 billion USD and a rank of 15. The relevant comparison basis for any daily change is the verified UTC close of November 1; no matching close is used here to calculate a daily percentage.
Linux vulnerability raises operational concern
On October 30, the Cardano coordinating group Intersect warned stake pool operators about Linux vulnerability CVE-2026-98432. BeInCrypto reported that the flaw carries a CVSS severity score of 9.8 and could crash affected servers or, in certain configurations, enable remote control.
The issue concerns the infrastructure used by stake pools to produce blocks, not direct custody of delegated ADA. According to the report, ADA remains in delegators' wallets. However, an outage could reduce pool performance and therefore affect rewards. No stolen funds or reward losses had been linked to the vulnerability at the time of the report. Intersect urged operators to check their systems, apply updates and reboot.
Protocol proposals remain in review
A November 1 roundup covered several Cardano Improvement Proposals. Crypto.news reported that one draft seeks common compliance requirements for regulated stablecoins built with the CIP-0113 programmable-token framework.
A separate proposal, CIP-0206, would add two quantum-resistant signature verification functions for Plutus smart contracts. The article noted that this remains a proposal and would require a hard fork for implementation. It does not change existing ADA wallet signatures. Other documentation milestones, including CIP-0204 and CPS-0037, likewise do not mean that new network functionality is already active.
Dijkstra timeline remains conditional
Cardano's longer-term catalyst is the planned Dijkstra upgrade and its Leios-related scaling work. CoinMarketCap reported that a Node 11.3 pre-release containing the intended hard-fork feature set is expected by November 29, 2026. The timetable remains dependent on testing and governance approval, so the milestone should not be treated as a confirmed mainnet activation date.
For investors, the current picture is therefore mixed: operational patching is a near-term requirement, while the stablecoin, cryptography and scaling initiatives remain development or governance steps. The Investing.com snapshot also showed ADA's 52-week range at 0.1385 to 0.6188 USD, underscoring the distance between the current level and the year's high.
