Cardano (ADA) processed 1,780,896 transactions in Epoch 660, a five-day period that ended October 11, 2026, according to WBOC. The Cardano price stands at 0.2299 USD as of October 16, 2026, 0.08 percent below the UTC daily close of October 15, 2026, according to Investing.com.
Epoch 660 reached 1.78 million transactions
The transaction total exceeded Cardano's previous record of 1,566,974 transactions, set in November 2021, by 13.65 percent, the WBOC report said. The network also processed 542,532 transactions on October 8, 2026, setting a daily record, while peak throughput reached 440 transactions per second. The report described that throughput as a brief peak rather than a sustained rate.
Fees reached 337,720 ADA during Epoch 660, 9.54 percent above the fee record from the preceding epoch. The release attributed the activity to HOSKY's Doggie Bowl campaign, which reopened on October 6, 2026. It also said HOSKY-related activity represented more than 9 percent of all transactions recorded on Cardano since launch.
CIP-0113 adds transfer controls
Cardano's programmable token standard CIP-0113 went live on the mainnet on October 7, 2026, according to the Cardano Foundation. The standard lets issuers build rules for know-your-customer checks, sanctions screening, freezes and transfer restrictions into native tokens. It required no hard fork and received recognition from the Swiss Capital Markets and Technology Association for its certification scheme.
The framework also carries a specific design consideration for ADA holders. Under Cardano's extended unspent transaction output model, or EUTXO, several tokens can share one transaction output; PrimeXBT reported on October 6, 2026, that a freeze on one restricted token could temporarily block unrelated tokens and ADA held in the same output.
