BUX loses 0.56 percent at midday as OTP leads decline

Blue chips lead the decline
OTP was down 0.84 percent at HUF 41,120, while MOL fell 0.69 percent to HUF 5,020. Magyar Telekom declined 1.01 percent to HUF 2,546. Richter provided the main counterweight, rising 0.16 percent to HUF 12,390. The market had opened 4.57 points higher before turning lower.
Portfolio also identified OTP and Magyar Telekom among the shares under pressure as the BUX decline accelerated during the morning. Trading turnover in the equity market reached HUF 8.0 billion by 11:30 a.m. CEST.

The next scheduled Budapest business event highlighted for October 8 is the Energy Investment Forum, which will address energy policy, Russian gas diversification and energy investment financing, according to Portfolio.
