BUX gains 1.34 percent at midday as OTP leads Budapest stocks

OTP leads the advance
OTP shares rose 2.70 percent to 41,800 forints at 12:51 p.m., with trading value of HUF 12.91 billion, according to Privatbankar. OPUS gained 2.49 percent at the same time. MOL stood at 5,000 forints, up 0.40 percent, while Magyar Telekom rose 0.39 percent to 2,588 forints.
Earlier market coverage also put the BUX above its 200-day moving average, while its 20-day and 50-day averages were below the index, according to Portfolio.
Retail data adds a mixed economic signal
Hungarian retail sales increased 2.4 percent from a year earlier in August but declined 0.7 percent from July, Investing.com reported. The next Budapest trading session is scheduled for October 7, when investors will have the latest domestic economic developments to assess.
