The BNB price remained in focus on November 3 as Binance continued restoring withdrawal services after a major security incident. Investing.com displayed BNB at 708.40 US dollars at 07:55:56 Berlin time, with a live change of 0.30%. The same page showed a 7-day performance of -4.6447%, a monthly performance of -7.8095% and a one-year performance of -34.6164%.

The immediate issue for BNB is operational rather than a new protocol announcement. Binance said in its November 1 recovery update that withdrawals were being restored in phases after security checks. The first phase included BNB, USDT and USDC on BNB Smart Chain. Deposits remained available, while Binance warned that traffic could cause temporary delays during the reopening.

Binance says reserves are restored

Binance said the incident involved unauthorized withdrawals from a hot wallet and resulted in token losses worth approximately 6.3 billion US dollars. In its security incident update, the exchange said it would cover the losses through the Secure Asset Fund for Users and company funds. It also reported that more than 5 billion US dollars in corresponding assets had initially been secured and that approximately 3 billion US dollars in assets had been frozen on-chain.

By November 1, Binance said approximately 95% of the affected assets had been replenished, up from 90% in its previous update. It said BNB, alongside BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC, was backed by 100% reserves. The remaining 5% consisted mainly of tokens with lower liquidity that Binance was still acquiring through market and over-the-counter channels.

Recovery remains a market risk

Gadgets 360 reported on November 2 that BNB withdrawals had resumed on BNB Smart Chain while other network and asset combinations remained subject to staged restoration. The report also noted that Binance had not disclosed how much of the reopened withdrawal activity represented customer withdrawals rather than internal wallet transfers. That distinction matters for assessing immediate pressure on exchange liquidity.

For BNB holders, the reopening removes one operational constraint but does not close the security investigation. Binance said further security reviews and an incident report were still pending. The BNB price therefore remains exposed to confidence in Binance's controls, the pace of restoring other services and broader crypto-market conditions. The current quote is also well below the 52-week high of 1,087.10 US dollars shown by Investing.com, while its 52-week low was 537.61 US dollars.
