Bitcoin price steadied above USD 77,000 on November 3 as investors assessed weak institutional flows, the fallout from a major Binance theft and uncertainty surrounding the US midterm elections. Investing.com displayed BTC at USD 77,736.8 at 18:14:09 Berlin time, with a day range of USD 76,372.4 to USD 77,828.1.
Using the verified November 2 UTC close of USD 76,709 reported by TokenPost as the comparison basis, the Investing.com quote was 1.34% higher. The comparison uses the UTC-dated close rather than a rolling 24-hour change.
Election risk meets crypto outflows
Bitcoin entered the US election day after a weaker October and a sharp late-month sell-off. Yahoo Finance, citing Investing.com, reported that Bitcoin fell to an over one-month low as traders weighed the regulatory implications of the election. The report also said Binance had resumed withdrawals in stages after the theft of more than USD 6 billion and would cover customer losses.
Institutional demand has also become less supportive. CNBC TV18 on TradingView reported that US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly USD 643 million in net outflows on October 30, their largest single-day withdrawal since June. The same report cited about USD 366 million in crypto liquidations over 24 hours, with long positions accounting for nearly 84% of the total.
Mixed signals for investors
The market is not uniformly defensive. The TradingView report said Strategy resumed Bitcoin accumulation with a purchase of 811 BTC worth USD 65.5 million. That buying provides a counterpoint to ETF redemptions, but it does not by itself establish a broader demand recovery.
Investing.com listed Bitcoin's market capitalization at USD 1.56 trillion, 24-hour volume at USD 25.04 billion and circulating supply at 20.11 million BTC when the quote was read. Its 52-week range was USD 57,832.5 to USD 107,461.3. Those figures place the current level well below the recent high, while the market remains exposed to sharp moves around political, regulatory and liquidity signals.
For investors, the immediate reference points are the November 2 UTC close and the ability of Bitcoin to hold above the recent intraday lows. Election-related headlines, further ETF flow data and developments at Binance may continue to influence volatility. A price recovery should therefore not be treated automatically as a change in the underlying risk profile.
