The Bitcoin Cash price was 289.12 USD on the Investing.com Bitcoin Cash page when it was read at 18:45:55 Berlin time on November 2, 2026. The page displayed a gain of 1.53 percent, a 24-hour trading volume of 245.85 million USD and a market capitalization of 5.83 billion USD. These are live-page readings, not a UTC day-close comparison.
The immediate market development is the launch of regulated derivatives. CME Group said on October 20 that FalconX and GSR had executed the first block trade in its new Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures. CME described the products as part of its cryptocurrency derivatives offering and said trading was underway on its 24/7 marketplace.
Why the Futures Launch Matters
Futures give eligible market participants another way to manage exposure to BCH without relying exclusively on spot transactions. They can support hedging and price discovery, while also allowing positions that benefit from falling prices. The launch therefore broadens the available market structure, but the first block trade is evidence that trading began, not proof of a lasting increase in institutional demand.
The distinction matters because the Bitcoin Cash price remains volatile. Investing.com showed a 52-week range of 181.10 to 668.87 USD and a year-to-date change of minus 51.8588 percent on the reviewed page. The same source listed a seven-day change of 4.9975 percent, a monthly change of minus 6.1236 percent and a circulating supply of 20.11 million BCH against a maximum supply of 21 million BCH.
Investor Context for BCH
For investors, the CME launch is best viewed as an access and infrastructure event rather than a guaranteed price catalyst. A regulated futures venue may make it easier for professional traders to express or hedge BCH exposure, but it can also facilitate short positioning. The live spot reading near 289 USD therefore needs to be assessed alongside liquidity, volatility and the wider digital-asset market rather than interpreted in isolation.
Bitcoin Cash originated from a Bitcoin hard fork in 2017, and its ticker is BCH. The reviewed Investing.com page identifies BCH/USD as the relevant real-time market and separately lists delayed or real-time exchange and exchange-traded instrument quotes. Those instruments should not be confused with the underlying coin.
