Chemical sector leads with 0.8 percent gain
Chemical, petroleum and plastics shares led the advance, while metal products and machinery and wood, paper and printing also ranked among the strongest groups, Investing.com reported. Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners 393 to 222, with 32 unchanged.
Akcansa leads individual gainers
Akcansa Cimento rose 8.4 percent, Pasifik Holding gained 7.7 percent and Astor Enerji added 6.8 percent. Tekfen Holding fell 4.7 percent, Reysas Tasimacilik and Lojistik declined 2.8 percent, and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi lost 2.6 percent, according to Investing.com.
