Zalando's third-quarter update adds a new growth angle to the B2B-led earnings picture: the company is expanding its platform beyond products sold directly by Zalando. In its release of Tuesday, November 3, Zalando said its new Zalando Extended offering will bring products from other online shops into its app and allow its own AI agent to complete purchases from 2027.

Zalando stock traded at 28.32 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 18:09 CET on Thursday, November 5, 0.56 percent below the Xetra close of Thursday, November 5. The real-time quote of Zalando stock is available separately.

B2B remains the earnings engine

Zalando said third-quarter group revenue increased 5.1 percent year on year to 3.2 billion euros, while adjusted EBIT rose 10.6 percent to 107 million euros. B2B revenue reached 354 million euros, up nearly 28 percent, and adjusted EBIT more than doubled to 42 million euros. The division's adjusted EBIT margin expanded to 11.9 percent from 7.1 percent a year earlier.

The company linked the B2B expansion to ZEOS logistics services, Tradebyte marketplace connections and SCAYLE online-shop software. Zalando also named new enterprise customers for SCAYLE in the United States and the United Kingdom, while ZEOS Fulfilment added Lascana, LC Waikiki and Champion.

AI expands the platform opportunity

Zalando said Zalando Extended will initially focus on complex categories such as bulky home goods. Westwing is the first pilot partner, with the cooperation already under way and AI-assisted checkout planned from 2027. The move could broaden assortment and partner reach without requiring customers to leave the Zalando app.

The company confirmed its 2026 outlook, including reported GMV and revenue growth in the lower half of the 12 percent to 17 percent range and adjusted EBIT of 680 million to 720 million euros. Zalando will publish its full-year 2026 results on March 11, 2027.
